The Employment Retention Bill would entitle workers to a statutory employment retention assessment to determine whether they qualify for a period of rehabilitation leave, for people who are newly disabled or whose existing impairments have changed. The aim is to help affected workers stay in, or return to, work by arranging suitable rehabilitation support.
