This bill strengthens the law on human trafficking, making offences clearer and broader. It also introduces measures to prevent trafficking, helps authorities identify victims, and improves support and protections for people who have been trafficked or are at risk.
The bill is currently at the Lords’ 2nd Reading, an early stage. If it passes that stage, it will be examined in more detail in committee, before moving to the next House for further consideration.
