This Bill would amend the Health Act 2006 to ban smoking in private vehicles when children are present. It aims to reduce children’s exposure to second-hand smoke by making it illegal to smoke in cars carrying minors. The bill originated in the House of Lords and is now being considered in the House of Commons at its 2nd reading.
The Bill is currently at the 2nd reading in the House of Commons. If it passes this stage, it will move to committee and then be considered by the Lords again after Commons approval.
