MP for North Bedfordshire
Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury
Richard Fuller is the Conservative MP for North Bedfordshire, first elected in 2019. He currently serves as Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury (from 5 November 2024) and has previously held the role of Economic Secretary to the Treasury in 2022; he has sat on several finance and public accounts committees during his time in Parliament.
Mr Fuller shows very high party loyalty (99%), with attendance above the party average (60%). His voting record places him on the centre-right (57/100). He generally backs stricter immigration controls and the Rwanda deportation scheme, while his voting on welfare and public spending issues, such as Universal Credit, has tended to oppose expansions; his votes on NHS funding, VAT changes and related domestic issues have been more mixed. He has also voted against his party on a small number of occasions, including notable rebel votes on the Tobacco and Vapes Bill (April 2024) and on Abortion (Northern Ireland) Regulations in 2021–22.
Declares 11 financial interests, including miscellaneous entries, two items connected with employment and earnings (including ongoing paid employment), and land and property holdings inside and outside the UK.
